I chose to make a flyer when my audience is a student from the Bloomsburg S.L.E.D. club because a flyer is easy to put around a college campus. Also I chose this style for my student audience because a student would rather look at a flyer rather than read an article
Contrast
I used the contrasting colors of pink and green.
Repetition
I used the repetition of the green, pink, green boxes on the right side. I used the repetition of the white and black lettering.
Alignment
I left aligned all of the writing in the boxes and the writing outside of the boxes
Proximity
I used proximity by making the title bigger and set the picture in the top left corner so that it caught the eye

For my EAR project I took pictures of 3 flyers that were hanging up on my floor. All of these flyers drew my attention. The things that I liked about the first flyer is that was pictures that they choose to use. I liked how they pictures drew me in. For the second flyer Iliked the color contrast. It made the words in the circles pop and stand out. For the third flyer, I liked how the flyer gets your attention gets your attention with the big heading. What I didn't like about the first flyer is that it is very plain and the different components of the flyer aren't symmetrical or even across the flyer. For the third flyer, I feel that the DO NOT and YOUR SAFETY on the flyer should be bolded because it is meant to make a point to not do something. For my flyer, I will be using contrasting colors that stick out, a big heading and have the sides look even to make the flyer look appealing.
My letter is in the eyes of a parent of a child that is Deaf, who is having trouble in school. I chose to this type because I liked the idea of a parent writing to the school about a concern they have about their child. I used a professional format so that is address the correct audience of a Principal of a school. However for the solutions I could not think of anymore then the ones I already had.
Contrast
the contrast is the black on the white
Repetition
I keep using the child's name
Alignment
Everything is left aligned
Proximity
formal letter format

The first letter is a personal letter. This letter is more of a personal than the professional letter but is more professional than a letter number 3. I like the uniformity of this letter with the cursive writing. The second letter is a professional letter. It is less personal because of the way that the letter is set up. Also you can tell that it is professional because there is sincerely at the end and there is a Bloomsburg heading at the beginning of the letter. I like this letter however because it is the type that I am using for my Ear 3. I am writing a professional letter so I plan on using some of these techniques. The last letter is extremely informal. This type of letter is written when it is to someone that you are close to on a personal level. It is also used to show a quick message and is not as detailed as the other two letters.
Satire would not load.
The reason I chose to include my satire is because it makes you think about the topic of being deaf and how you treat someone differently if they are different from you. It makes you think.
All of these satires are making fun of someone being deaf. I like how the first one is saying that deaf people always have to repeat themselves. It shows a stereotype. The second one is saying how the deaf baby never learns language. And the last one says how people think that just because someone is deaf that they cannot do other things but they can.
